For all you newbie drivers out there that want to see first hand training from swift. I have been searching online to help some of you out. If you go to Youtube and search Swift, there are a few vids on there that show people actually training and will give you a better mental image of the process in a small sense. Hope this helps.. Stay safe. Justin

I've seen the utube vids. The problem(s) with Swift aren't covered on utube, except the driver's accidents.

I'd like to think good of them. They have a depot 10 miles from me. Here's the problem's it's said. Swift's training isn't what it should be (Swift drivers seem to have alot of accidents), they pay low cpm, and it is said they are hiring Mexican's (perhaps hiring illegals) and they are getting them green cards. If this is true this is treason to the citizen's of America and I would'nt want work for them.

Problem is you are working off of hearsay information. Check SafeStat and find that their are many companies out there whose drivers are involved in more accidents than Swift. They start off low but have around 4 increase in the first year. By the end of the first year they are at around .30 to .32 cpm. There are some companies that pay less than that. This "hiring Mexican drivers" is a new way of attacking companies that people don't like. Heard the smae thing about Prime the other day.

Like I said I'd like to think good of them. You've offer up good info on the safety issues. As for the cpm, I believe Schnider starts their guys out at .32 cpm . On the subject of their hiring illegals, I understand they r under investigation by the Feds. It is said that it is for bribery, and getting phoney green cards. I don't believe these last two points r hearsay, I could be wrong.

And who said what it is for? The state MV department is also under investigation and the school is on Swift property. You "heard" it is for that but I haven't read anything where the exact details have been specified. Maybe I missed that. Give us a source.

If u need documented information u will have to look it u your self. Please don't expect me to write a detail reaserch report with foot notes. You can go to the Swift website it's self. They have some info on their problem posted to the left. Go to this forum and look up "Driver Shortage", where they write about SWIFT out right HIRING MEXICANS WHO CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH. Google Swift on their problem as it pertians to this subject. By the way I call any company that hires Mexicans or any other alien's traitor's to the citizens of the United States of America. Companies like this r intensionally trying to circumvent the HIRING OF AMERICANS in order keep wages low and to BREAK American workers. Also go to this forum and look up "Swift is a Goner". When u do go to these pages ask them for their sources.

When u find resources that debunk this bad information, you post it here for all to see. I look forward to your reaserch that states that all the bad talk about Swift is all wrong, a mistake and here is where it eminated from, and why.

In other words, it's all hearsay.

Also, as the proponent of a position, it is up to you to provide the first proofs. Documentation. Evidence.

That gives the rest of us something to debunk. Vague "I heard' or 'read these posts' yaya is definitely not any form of proof, and questionable evidence at best. Yes, I'll go back and resume reading the two threads you mentioned. If I find any form of evidence, I'll probably even make note of it here for others to be aware of.

And, lest you think I'm some form of Swift apologizer or whatever, I have not worked for, nor do I ever intend to work for Swift. I have my own issues with them, but they are MY issues, not anybody else's.

You know what u can do with your hearsay & proponent BS. Save your lawyerisum's for the court room. I don't care what u do, read the previous threads or not. Save your line of crap for your family, wise guy. Don't bother me with your idealistic mentality. Read or don't read it what I wrote, except it or don't except it, that's up to you.

What do you think u r the forum monitor, get lost.

As for you being an apologizer I don'care. I don't care if your the CEO.

What do you think u r the forum monitor. Get lost.

This is a truck forum not the law students forum.

if you had "heard" all these things correctly, you would have "heard" that it was not Swift under the federal investigation but rather a driving school that was leasing property from Swift in Memphis, TN that had no connection with Swift except for being a tenant of theirs. Also all of the sources I have read regarding this matter there were no accusations or charges being brought about for bribery nor falsification of legal documents.
I am no big fan of Swift, although I have worked for them, but I would find it very difficult to deliberately slander a company based on pure hearsay.

I understand your frustration about the whole illegal thing, but let's not allow our frustration to slander an innocent bystander.
