She had mentioned that they were thinking about having new employees signing a contract, I was never asked to sign, although I might have just to get into these tankers.
I'm on a dedicated account and pull same tanker and product everyday, loaded out return back mt
I'm getting 26%, Basically averages well over 50cpm

How's things going ?
-
Things are going great, They are bouncing me around to different accounts lately, Most of them are no touch loads which is nice.
Been here just over 9 months now and on pace for a decent year. The 1st few months was alot of learning, aside from training and that nasty winter we had, It was learning how to run with these guys.
the pay is good, Just when I think I had a bad week I'm pleasantly surprised.
Come on over the waters fine and the grass is greener -
Thanks for the update !
Wife and I met up Cynthia and Shannon Greene for lunch to discuss the dedicated run they have. They landed a new account that requires 17 teams. Their offering a salary pay structure to us if we stay out 4 weeks, the pay is pretty sweet. We need to iron out a few things.
1. Mid-roof truck: They wanted us to team in a mid-roof but their looking into getting a condo truck
2. Pay from home: Load picks up near Houston but they aren't sure how they would pay us for going from Chicago to Houston and Houston to Chicago when we take our hometime
Those are our two biggest concerns. The dedicated run starts in October so their still trying to figure it all out. Hoping things fall into place because I would love the challenge of doing tanker.slim shady Thanks this. -
Good luck I'm hoping it all works out for the two you.

Just spoke with these guys....they offered me .50 cpm but I had to sign a paper stating that I would not leave employment or switch to another qc terminal within 6 months. I never heard of this crap, must be some new thing companies are doing to lock in drivers I guess.
Told the guy I would sign if he signs off on $1.50 a mile for all miles + a $2000 a week guarantee on salary for the entire 6 months of the contract and he declined.
Oh well....easy come easy go! -
That 6 month contract really sucks. Having to pay them back around $2,000 for training if you don't stay makes the job not attractive.
Slim Shady is a good guy and he is happy there. Percentage pay there I believe starts at 26%. Something to consider.slim shady Thanks this. -
Too many unknowns. I don't know these people and I have no idea how they operate their business and I am not betting $2000 on them and their paycheck.
Think about it...
There is nothing keeping them from dropping your pay, not giving you miles, not paying period, not repairing their equipment...I mean the list goes on and on.
They did not apply with me I apply with them so I have no way of checking their credentials or creditworthiness and to sign something like that with someone I don't know is just crazy. Heck just the fact that they had the nerve to even ask is enough to shy me away from them. -
I wasn't disagreeing with you. That $2,000 was why my wife and I turned down the job. We've never done tanker before and my wife might not like it. Not having the freedom to leave was too much of a gamble.

Sorry truckduo I knew you wernt disagreeing with me I was just adding to the subject and I'm sorry if it came across that way.
TruckDuo Thanks this.
