F2F leases O/O's out of southern Indiana (well, anywhere, really). They'll let you pull a flatbed if you have experience (eases the insurance company's nerves). I find plenty of freight through Indiana, and not a single load goes on the trailer that I don't want to pull.

I book my loads right off load boards. You could even pound the pavement looking for direct freight if you want (or go back to your favorite local customers after you've run out whatever back-solicitation clauses you're under). It's a lot like having your own numbers, just they do all the paperwork for you. Call any broker to book the load, F2F handles the carrier packets and rate cons, run the load (send in load updates via sylectus, which takes all of 20 seconds in the app), call the broker to tell them you're empty, send F2F the POD, and F2F handles it from there so you can move on to your next load without having to deal with invoicing. After you finish orientation you never have to go back to the terminal (but you can stop in and bother them whenever you want), so it doesn't really matter where you live.
