Just waiting for a callback from my recruiter out here who's waiting for the same from the company general manager in GP. Until they get confirmation from GP, they can't tell me what the company name is. Definitely antsy as I really want to get started with my career change.

Just go online to STEP Energy. Look under opportunities and apply online. That's their preferred hiring method they just added a couple rigs and are looking for people. Stop fooling around with recruiters
Prairie Boy Thanks this. -
Recruiters are like ######, slip them a couple hundred and they'll make that phone call right away.

You want a 100k first year? Work 24/7 as much as you can. Don't complain about not going home for days off. There's a difference in making 100 grand and actually having time to spend your money. Myself I'll work maybe 32 weeks this year and make over 100 grand.
-
How are you able to make that and still only work 32 weeks.
-
He is a ft Mac manwhore on his days off. Slurp slurp!

Same here, 32 weeks and +/- $100k. Not unusual.
Good people are in demand. Reliable, skilled, committed, safe, motivated, keen to learn, trainable, and able to handle everything that's thrown their way. Easy to get ahead with those attributes. Guys get paid well and are in high demand after a reasonably short period of time compared to many other industries. -
I take alot of holidays. Lol what's the point in working so much if you don't have time to enjoy life. I get a pretty good living allowance too so the tax free money helps.
-
Lmao. Haven't seen yea on here in awhile! Still down in Manitoba? -
Where are you working, in Ab?
