I'd say the inframe and replacement of other parts helped a ton. Although we've never had a problem with the one truck we have with a cummins. Well, it's had Def issues a few times but nothing as serious as our kw and other freightliner. Our Cummins has 300,000 miles or so on it and it's the best truck we have. Only the top driver has it, I get to drive it on the weekends though when he's off and work and I love that thing

My family has just purchased 2 2014 KW w900 with the 525hp cummins isx probably could get better fuel with a more aerodynamic model but the engine is great. We only have 50,000 miles on em so far but have had now problems with them at all and Iam very impressed with them.

If your running 6.9 avg with a lift axle and a lot of empty miles in lower speed states something doesn't make sense I doubt a new truck would do 7.5 as you should be 8 easy on current truck

You kinna of think I should get 8mpg or better but I'm thinking because of the high miles, the dpf needs replacement, the egr sensore, the intake maybe needs cleaning or maybe the injectors.its all costly. Maybe it's cheaper in the long run to buy a new cascadia with dd15 and the new dt12 transmission and 2.94 rears 24.5 tires. Please vote 1 for yes and 2 for no. Thanks.

First thing is the most important whats your budget and docyou have the money for repairs, a man my grandpa knew bought a volvo and spent 9000 on engine repairs for a first time truck I wouldnt reccomend anything big unless you plan on driving the truck for 2, 000,000 miles if you get a kw get a w900l with a cummins and if you get a prostar also get it with a cummins but for the lonestar I wouldnt reccomend the first truck I had was a company truck and I had a cascadia thinking it was a 2013 but it qas raised roof with a dd15 and it was good but i was running reefer now im a owner operator I have a 2010 freightliner coronado with a dd15 raised roof hoping to get the 2015 freightliner coronado but just waiting to see the 16 looks like and I wish that cummins could have a signiture 615 in the coronado that was a pulling engine but if you get a truck maybe you should drive for a company like werner or schinder or k&b trucking if you dont like noise dont pull a reefer but also I will reccomend that you get a freightliner cascadia because you get good fuel milage but if you wanna have a big truck get a classic xl or a coronado or w900l if your looking for a hone away from hone get a w900 if your looking for a nice big sleeper I wouldnt reccomend the coronado over the w900 the w900 also can rake a longer whoopin over the freightliners or any other trucks but since paccar puts their poop in kw's I cant mess with them unless their older versions
