Bernice ( the truck ) is doing great. I love it . The DT12 AUTO shifts very smooth with out a glitch .
EW posted a few pictures for me a few pages back. I had the upgraded stereo put in and my fridge installed and I also mounted a RIGHT WEIGH SCALE on the back of the cab to measure my weight on the drives. I could have put it in the dash but with all the electronics and extra labor it was much cheaper to put it on the back of the cab $150 cheaper.
Wasnt sure if I would like the WHITE COLOR but it is actually pretty cool looking ... Reminds me of being in the MARINES riding around in GOV White Buses and Trucks , cars . So I feel at home in the WHITE.
Storage is great and its very spacious
Bought a KW TV mount for my flat screen and it works awesome also ..
Did I say .... I LOVE THIS TRUCK

Like if you book a load that's 1,000 miles from Texas to where ever and your fuel mileage estimate is 7 mpg your gonna need 143 gallons. But your gonna be near empty when you finish said load and might not have enough to get to the next load. So your stopping In between loads to figure out how much more to put in to get you to that load and delivered.
Is that really the most efficient way to do it? -
You can use the Qualcom to plan your fuel stops. Schneider has a system that will tell you where and how much to fuel along the route to get the best possible prices.

JH, The fueling strategy is all new to me.
When and how do you 'true up' your fuel purchases versus miles driven in a state? Does the variability in MPG between loads have to be accounted for?
If a regional driver always fueled in one state but drove in two or three others would he have to apply for a rebate from the state in which the fuel was purchased and simultaneously make a payment to the states he didn't buy fuel in?
Thanks, Bootsie -
The concept of fueling more than usual is to some a burden but however it is the most effective way to manage your variable
You will not run out if you declare empty at above 1/8 and not dead empty ... You do have to give yourself Lee weigh in that perspective you cannot run dry
Empty for me is 1/8 tank or 25 gallons which is around 4.5 to 5 inches of fuel depending on your reload its very effective -
The fuel in route system is available to IC but it sometimes is not accurate for pricing and sometimes it is
I personally don't use it but each there own
Fuel book app on android or iPhone is a good fuel solution also -

A couple of things Bootsie. Your first post with all the 3rd person references was funny, however, the novelty wore off quickly.
But, more importantly, concerning your question about Schneider keeping premium loads for company drivers. What difference would it make? They aren't passing the profits from that to the company drivers so IC is still more profitable than company driver if done right.
