In the words of big don I'm going to be a shovel leaner
Big Don Thanks this. -
I'm big time happy for you Bro. Trucking is not what it used to be. I'm GLAD i'm not just getting into this line of work -
Well technically I'm still a truck driver as I'll be using dump trucks amd to plow with. Even got our own lowboy trailer as well.

I've seen some of those snow plowing jobs that would be fun to have. Like US 50 south of Ouray CO. . .

5 straight red tagged trailers, last one sat on the side of the road for 3.5 hours while they fixed a brake cam that fell off the trailer. I wrote up all the stuff on it and turned it in at a different ryder terminal (SLC) and took a better trailer back. The service manager starts reading my sheet and says "jesus christ!!" and hands me a air line lock.
Ran up on my 14 hour clock 4 straight days. (stupid e logs). Today was only 8 hours but tomorrow is another planned 13 hours.
On the plus side, I'm pretty well out of hours tomorrow (60 + in 6 days) so I will get at least one day off.I Drive and superpet39 Thank this. -
Anyone digging the new Foo Fighters?

6 of 8 red tagged since I wrote this
the one I got today clearly got whacked in a jackknife. It's dark out of course at 3:30am, i bring it to the mgr's attention "oh yeah it's been like that"
well, in the daylight the frame crossmember is clearly bent. (yeah, Mr DOT man, we're an OOS waiting to happen).
They are going to be pissed when I force them to reload the trailer on a road worthy one. It's coming. -
13 hrs 20 min
13 hours flat
13:57
13:56
4 of my last 7 days. (stupid elogs)
yeah, "get hometime", all 10 hours of it, minus the commute.
been working my tail off.
talked to another guy from a different company (I was delivering one restaurant in the truck stop he was delivering another)
and it's the same gripes, different companies
kinda funny actually.
"so, I'm missing some product, guess where it is"
guy doesn't even hesitate "in the nose of the trailer of course, where else would it be?, it's stop 1 of course"
