I'm looking to rebuild my Cat C15 Acert. Has anyone had their engine rebuilt by Milton in New York?.
If there is a previous thread on Cat rebuilds in NY, Please redirect me.
Thank you.

I don't know about rebuilds but my dad went there to put a new thermostat on our t600.
Honey Joe Thanks this. -
Which location....? (I've been to 7 of them at one time or another) Never had a rebuild , but have had plenty of work done by them.....
They are very pricey....... And watch them very closely !
However if you go with the platinum kit the warrantee gives some piece of mind.... -
Thank you for the replying. ...Actually any other CAT dealer would work fine with me from New Jersey to Albany NY. I'm not hung up on using Milton. I hope to find a certified dealer that will do the right job.

I've heard really good reviews from King of the Hill diesel shop around Albany. I've never been, as I don't have yellow. But I bet I could stir up a phone # for you in a hr when a buddy is done trucking for the day..pm me if you'd want it
Honey Joe Thanks this. -
one that comes to mind is the cat shop at turbotville pa. on I-180 east of Williamsport. heard good things about them.

a BETTER CHOICE IS TO HAVE YOUR ENGINE PULLED AND SHIP/ EXCHANGE IT FOR A REBUILT/ REMACHINED ACERT FROM AZ, CHECK TRUCK PAPERHoney Joe Thanks this.

used to be called grenade engines after being in-chassied, they really need to be re-machined for max reliabilityHoney Joe Thanks this. -
Maybe the older ones, but my old truck (05 Acert) is half way thru it's 2nd million and still going strong after being inframed.
