    I heard where one company lost 5 trucks in just one day 3 jackknifes and 2 rollovers. wouldn't want to see what their insurance is at right now.

    I had just Bumped up from doing local line hual to doing Dedicated Express the driver that replaced me had been on the job no more than a week he was running a load up from PDX to SEA 20 miles short at around Ft Lewis he dozed off and run the truck off the road clipped the guard rail and ripped the axils right off the dryvan. thay had to load the trailer on a flat bed to get it to our terminal. the driver got sent out to do a ua and while he was gone our terminal dispatcher went out to Penski. got a replacement rental tractor and trailer and got it set up for the return trip back to PDX. 4 hrs later after deming the driver to be ok sent him on his way. I swear to god he got withen 1 mile of the first accident he fell asleep on the southbound trip and managed to total both the truck and trailer this time. the very same officer that responded the first time also responded the second time. needless to say both the driver and dispatcher were let go immeaditly. I ended up taking over as dispatcher for a 2 days until a new dispatcher was put in place.:biggrin_25521:

    Just little things like that are part of the reason Air Container no longer exists
