Thank you for your post. Same to you security58. Very helpful. So since you have 180 hours, I assume that's 40 hours at 13 and then 140 hours at 19.5? If that's the case I need to start practicing push ups lol. Thanks again for your help.

I don't know Halli's payroll calendar but I would assume that is for 2 weeks. So at best 80 straight and 100 OT.unloader Thanks this.

Haven't stayed at a man camp yet, but the "rule" is if we frac more than an hour away we're staying at a camp or at a hotel. There's no per diem if we stay at a camp. Also, I've been told the food is really god but you can put on weight quickly with how they feed you (I've actually lost weight only because I'm trying to and TRY not to eat all the gas station food when we stop daily--you really have to prep for this). Our crew is one of two that gets to go home everyday so I enjoy that (drive about 35 min each way) but we did stay in Huntsville couple weeks ago for some rig ups/downs in madisonville (did 5 of each in 6 days and fraced once each day). Everyday/week is different but this has been the only time we have stayed out since I've been on the crew (about 2 months). Counting the days till I get my red hat.
Shocked here. Really thought you guys started around 16. I know in frac if you already have your cdl and hazmat when hired you start at 14.
Correct. Anything beyond 40/week or 80 in two weeks is OT and our supv make sure we get it. Our crew was getting bonuses but those were cutoff previous to me arriving but I hear they may be coming back in the new year. With oil constantly dropping though who knows. Not complaining because I'm still pulling in good money. I will say this: I have no fear of losing my job or work slowing down--Halliburton is actually adding crews for next year (another hiring event next Tuesday here btw) and we just got told today that the company may end up purchasing baker Hughes. I'll add to this. From an HR lady I talked to, after 6 months you can apply for other jobs within the company (for overseas it's a year or two I think). It's really up to you if you want to stay in the PSL you start at (product service line). If you have a degree you can apply for supv/manager type roles but only after whatever time limit is needed. Halliburton is big on people moving up but like everywhere else some guys actually fear training someone else thinking they'll lose their own job when the contrary is true:you can't move up if you don't have a replacement for your spot (seen this on my crew and have also know some guys who are scared to move up and just seem to stay where they are). Either way, there's always work for someone to do. For frac, you have competencies that you complete and when they are approved and you can prove you know them, you get a raise (typically every 6 months).
