My first google hit has me thinking... not so much.

Who wants to sit in a truck stop 116 hours a week?joseph1135 Thanks this. -
Hey, Scott! Like your research! Refreshing. Do note that the poor work conditions relate to migrants, brings up a whole different issue. Native German drivers make 2300 Euros on average and I think the exchange rate is over $2/Euro or $4600 on average.
The East European drivers are skipping EU-mandated breaks. Working for free or little more. Keeping the price of EU toilet paper artificially down.
But good point! Thx!
//Nope. Exchange rate's $1.24 to Euro. Haven't checked for a long time. Was $2.60. Ugh! Nothing I hate more than a good theory killed by a fact...Scott101 Thanks this. -
All inspired by the vast majority of truck driver impersonators/professional victims.

If you stand back and look at the WHOLE picture...........do you really want to emulate ANYTHING that Europe does??? I've heard this a lot lately from some of the "progressives"......about the European model. OK. You can't compare trucking in Germany to striking out from Jersey headed to Seattle.Joetro, semi retired semi driver and joseph1135 Thank this.
