Back in 2011 I hired on with G.D. Leasing of Indiana d.b.a. Falcon Transport. Drivers were quitting after a few months. But I hung on, because I wanted to be able to show "a stable work history". So I spent the next 13 months being harassed by their dispatchers and so called "Driver Manager's". They kept shorting my paychecks. They were really clear about the driver had to make a "round trip" before you got your load number. So after the load was picked up, delivered on time and you returned. You had made your "round trip", then they would have their computer calculate the distance from Spring Hill, TN (starting point) to Spring Hill, TN ending point. They came up with about .6 tenths of a mile. I turned in 3 "round trip loads" that were supposed to pay $334.00 for each load. Instead I was paid .61 CENTS. And when I brought it up to my "Driver Manager" she told me that she would "look into it". And then she would ask me about my ETA to Lansing, MI or to Spring Hill, TN. She changed the subject. I had to refocus. And after a week or so, I forgot that I had been shorted. When you're "running hard" day in and day out, you get tired. You can make mistakes. But I hung on, because I wanted to have that "stable work history". Then after about 13 months of this, my P.O.S. International, it developed a slip in the clutch. So you would be driving along, and then going up a hill, you would hear the engine rev up, and I would think W.T.F.? I called Falcon about it, and they told me to keep on driving. So after a couple of months, the clutch would slip so bad that you could hardly make it up a hill. So I called them again. And they gave me another truck. This one had an e-Log. I was running with a paper log. Because of a 10 year old, clapped out dry van, I had to wait for a "vendor" to come out to the warehouse in Spring Hill, TN and work on the plastic brake line that was under the floor of the dry van, that by now was brittle and worn out. So I went past my 14 hour rule, while waiting for repairs to be made. Then I had to drive to the "next safe harbor" which was a truck stop about 15 minutes away. And I parked and shut down. And after my 10 hours "off duty", I drove my rig North to Lansing, MI. At this time Falcon was a 7 day 60 hour company. So I had ended up driving for 7 consecutive days. Falcon wanted me to drive "illegally" that Monday, and deliver their load, which would mean that I had been "on duty driving" for 8 days. So I told them I couldn't drive because of the H.O.S. rules. My dispatcher told me that the 7 day with 34 hours off for a "restart" was "optional". I quit the next day on Tuesday, and they lied about my work history with Hire Rite and their DAC report. I was without any income for 18 MONTHS. So be smart, don't hire on with these people at "Falcon". They want you to think that they're soaring in the sky with the Eagles. But they're really just "a bunch of TURKEY'S" running around on the ground". Forum rules forbid "graphic descriptions" so I'll leave it at this point.
I'm sure that I'm not the first to "Dis" Falcon Transportation

Yeah, doesn't like a great company. Now that you have your stable history, definitely do some searching on here before you hire on with the next company. You should be able to take your pick now. Good luck.

So you dont have a stable work history after being out here 15 years ? ..you get props for refusing to drive over hours though..

I've been w/Falcon for almost 6 months now as a regional driver. Grand Rapids to Bowling Green GM account. I've never had an issue with pay. Always whats owed and on time. My DM's have been fine. They do push, that's their job. Push back if needed. I don't understand why you continued to drive unsafe trucks for months by your post? I've been through 3 trucks since starting. One I wrecked in a no-fault too me accident. One was sold while I was driving it, and my current rig, one of the many 2007 International Eagles. I've turned down trucks before even moving my gear into them due to obvious issues, DM's got me different rigs that day if they wanted the load to go.
Falcon takes some bashing, justified in some cases, for equipment. They are taking in new trucks and trailers. And DM's will push to get the loads done. Something that is not unique to Falcon. Good luck in the future, learn your H.O.S. regs.
