I met a Korean Air 747 at the North Cargo building ATL and picked up 26 small skids and carried them 25 miles for 6 grand.

Skate Board was bragging about a $100 a mile 5 mile load. Close enough maybe?

Seems here lately that we have a lot of trolls. Must have came here when KR shut his forum down.

I certainly hope that the successful guys that take their time to post aren't arguing with an admitted failure and guys that don't and never will be businessmen.....waste of breath.

281ric- good post: find the equipment, lane, customers to make you the money. Absolute truth right there.

if I found myself in a position that all I could haul is cheap freight/ break even freight/ not make a profit I'm happy with freight...time to put the game on pause and come up with a new plan!

If you can't make a business work and turn a profit that you are happy with: change your gameplan. Don't waste everyone else's time telling them it can't be done: it can be done-YOU JUST CANT DO IT -_-

I'm guessing you're not familiar with sarcasm are you? The majority of topics on the internet regarding what rates are received are akin to truckstop lunch counter stories. Its like liars poker, the first liar never has a chance. :biggrin_25520:

Oh my goodness. Anyone saying that rates are stagnant now clearly isn't doing something right. Makes me wonder what they thought about rates in 2007-2009. Rates have never been so good for this long.....it's like a 2 year bull run.

    281ric Thanks this.

It makes perfect economic sense. When they want someone to move freight they know who to call but when they NEED someone they also know who to call.

If they are calling me, I know the cash register is open because they are out of options.
