Ok Last week for me was 6119.76 gross and 3487.56 net and that's all in except for taxes and I contribute to managed maintenance and all my insurances come out also. Now that has been my best week to date but I average between 1900 and 2100 weekly when I run full weeks and get home weekly and still drive for the most part 67 mph.

    Read above

I said I was top 10 on choice not top 10 lease driver ... My rating may drop with truck but based upon my numbers with the truck so far ... Bout right where I figured I'd be ..

I made the choice to upgrade therefore my numbers of net will fall some but I think you missed my point of ... You can NET more with LESS gross if you control your costs

Net has nothing to do with child support that's not a business expense

I'm not saying you can't save money by driving slower that's just the facts what I'm saying is sometimes it pays to drive faster but only if you plan ahead and it works out.

My problem with preaching fuel mileage (and this is anyone not no one in particular) is if you only profit by fuel mileage then something is wrong. The fuel mileage should be an added bonus to your check not the only money you earn.

If I can run an additional load as I did last week by driving faster to get it in I will. Last week had I not driven just under the speed limit then I wouldn't of been able to make my last pick up (not delivery) which earned me over 1200 dollars and I didn't buy any additional fuel however the fuel to run it was about 250 dollars so that left me with a little over 1k in additional revenue. If I'd of driven slower I'd of not made the additional revenue but would've made approximately 250 in addition so I chose the added trip and 1250 revenue.

My weekly gross averages around 4600 and I go home every week and don't run recaps. It's all about planning and running smart. I will run slow if freight dictates it but I'm not afraid to speed up either. As long as a driver is profitable no way is wrong.
