How to ship a car…….

Hey nik, I've had a few vehicles on a flat. 4 2" ratchets around the tires did a fine job. Our big binders and chains are a recipe for disaster, unless you bought a humvee.

 

fortycal, how do you do that with 2 vehicles tho?. sorry stupid question. dont want to damgage the truck

 

You wrap the 2" strap around the tire like a cancer ribbon. To do 2 vehicles, have 8 2" straps. This is the way I do trailers, or vehicles. It leaves the suspension to do its deal, and no chassis or rim damage because the strap only contacts the tire.

 

Fortycalglock has it right. When you tie it down this way it is essentially the say as when a rollback uses straps.

Here you go Nik. I couldn't get my "rub rail" to cooperate, but this should give you an idea. This is a great method to help secure those light towers and gen sets as well.
