New guy: Walk-in off street for trucking jobs...Rules of Engagement (ROE)?

    Good idea. I'm not sure why that didn't occur to me. My MVR is clean and I've got a copy of it saved on my computer.

    The first contact should only be to inquire when a meeting with the person in charge of hiring can be scheduled.

    If they send you right to the person that is awesome.

    But respecting his/her schedule is important and respectful.

    Where are you in VA? Our main yard is in Richmond and we have a small yard in Wytheville. We run local drivers out of each yard. I know our people don't mind drop ins at all. For drop in visits you would need to go to the Richmond yard as that is where our recruiting and safety is. You can bring whatever you want but most companies want to pull all the recents themselves.
