Yep he fell asleep and was on parole for being a sex offender he works for one of our competitor's and would see him at the mill everyday sad to say this doesnt surprise me his company hires these ex convicts on parole and pays a cheap hourly wage and runs them night and day and most who work there cant drive a lick.prayers out to the families involved very sad day.I came upon the accident after it happened and it was not pretty.

Looks like a closed casket funeral is in order. Sad for all involved. The guilt the drivers going to have to live with. The victims family members. Prayer sent.

The rest of us will be paying for it with NTSB going berserk and recommending mandatory sleep testing/monitors, driver cams, etc.

I went thru there about five minutes prior to this happening. That whole area is usually very busy around 6-8 am, and nobody obeys the speed limit which I believe is posted at 45. Most are doing 60. Perhaps the PSP will now begin watching that area a little more...

That area is busy all day long, it should be a four lane divided instead of just a little two lane.

Sun didn't rise in Reading PA until a little before 7am, so it was ~"twilight", perhaps the most hazardous lighting condition.

False dichotomy. It might, and usually, suggest ABS.

It might be an interesting note that the Red Cross prohibits lifeguards from being on-duty for more than 2 consecutive hours, and a change of duty is required after 1 hour (from the chair to patrol, etc.), and after 2 hours they must receive 1 hour off.
