Im sure this has been answered before, but does anyone know about the rider policy. Wasnt sure if the lightweights had a passenger seat. I understand if they do i would want the extra space but i would make do if my daughter was allowed to ride.

Yep. When a lightweight was mentioned, I did assume company side.

Question anyone feel free to answer. I'm truck number 639105 cascadia 2013 lightweight. I'm having the hardest time downshifting this truck I've tried reving it to every rpm high and low to put it back into gear and i either grind it or can't get back into gear at all. Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong and what to do because i'm scared to death that i'm going to have to pull a mountain whick i'm gonna have to do sooner then later and i'm not going to get back into gear and wind up coasting fully loaded. Please if anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated.

DD15s don't like to be downshifted much above 1000 RPM... I usually won't try until I'm below that. Having the Jake on will decrease engine RPM faster, and you don't want to use much clutch so you don't engage the clutch brake.
Give yourself enough time before starting to descend a grade, that way you'll be in the right gear to start with.
Its always possible the previous driver of your truck screwed up the transmission. -
I agree with IP. I am in a lw cascadia as well and I'll have issues with her downshifting from time to time. The DD13 that they have in the lightweight trucks seems to be very touchy, especially in the colder weather. I find that if I let the rmp's slow down to below 1,000 before I take it out of gear and then rev the rmp's up to about 1,300-1,400 and then downshift to the next gear. The other thing is don't push the clutch all the way to the floor and as I have done a few times, make sure the jake brake is off
or you'll be having major issues shifting. If all else fails you can learn to float your gears and that'll help you find the rpm shift points.
IP, I believe his lightweight has the DD13's in it (which I think is a whimpy engine for what we do) unless they made a design change at the end of the 2013 year for the cascadias .
Good Luck

Its a DD13... my perspective is from the viewpoint of the larger engine.

How are the team miles on National at Prime?
I know; I've been saying for quite some time that I'm planning on coming (back) to Prime. The recent "wrinkle" is that a good friend of mine wants to become a driver and run team with me. We'll probably make the switch soon after she gets six months behind the wheel.
Also, how does it look for team lease ops?
Thanks. -
I'm filling out the online application for Prime for the flatbed division, why does it state that I will be required to obtain a tanker endorsement? Is this just an already formatted question for the tanker division?
