if your going to leesport than gary should be there. I don't know if I lucked out or they don't have the freight to keep 4 guys going up to Syracuse everyday. got into leesport yesterday afternoon and had a turkey dinner handed to me and a Syracuse load so I made it back last night to Syracuse. on the way back got a call from the planner saying have Thursday off and come back Friday for either Syracuse or Jamestown. offered to take the Jamestown to get a few extra miles, wont be home till Saturday morning. don't have to mess with a backhaul atleast just deadhead back to leesport in the morning.

the girl at the desk in advance this morning told me they sent 5 of our guys to Leesport this week. Guess that's where your work went. Wonder if they got home or had to sit up there.

Saw a bunch of our guys on the road today appears quite a few didn't get home. There were 35-40 loads on the yard in advance this morning when I left there.

 

Which way did you go when you said one exit up? Cedar Crest Blvd or South 4th St? Lehigh to 31st to Emmaus Ave is the best way. Cedar Crest wouldn't be too bad, but you have to go straight through Emmaus. South 4th St would suck because of the left onto Emmaus Ave in South Allentown and even worse of a right getting back onto South 4th from Emmaus. I know, because I'm originally an Allentown/Bethlehem native.

 

well I can go ahead and award the moron of the year award and the year isn't over yet......and it goes to.....the dumb #### in the white pickup that brake checked me coming by orangeburg today on 26.

was coming up to a get on and knight was coming down the ramp. nowhere in front or behind for him to get on but room for me to get over so I did. then he hangs me out there and won't let me back in. took me about 4 miles to get by mr lease driver....transportes de mexico of dallas leased to knight. imagine that. thought briefly about backing out and sliding back in behind him but the cars that were behind me in that lane sucked up behind him when he got on and I'm more than halfway by him so I'm just stuck. long line of cars piled up behind us by the time I got enough room to get in front of him with a cushion. I'm really surprised they didn't start squirting around my right once I left a hole but they didn't.

I get in front of him and here comes the line in the left lane. 4 go by then a white chevy pickup. usually you can tell they're going to do something stupid before they do but not this guy. he gets 10 ft in front and then immediately snatches it over across my hood and slams on his brakes. guess he got his panties in a wad because I was making him late to get his crack. I had about a millisecond to think did you just do that? you didn't just do that. you did just do that. am I going to plow you over?. am I going to slam on the brakes at 77k?. you ####### moron. #### #### ####. in less than the blink of an eye all that went through my head lol without thinking about it did a combination of get on the brakes smooth but hard and if I ram you in the ditch oh well. dashcam will tell the story and i'll have no remorse whatsoever. he slows to 45. then 35. then 25. on ####### 26 in holiday traffic. kept me there for about 2 miles at 25mph until I guess he figured he made his point and then punched it. ####### idiot. no sense in that ####. wasn't any need in trying to get out to his left heavy as I was as thick as traffic was I couldn't get going as it was. all I know to tell him is he doesn't have a clue how close he came to dead. and how glad he should be that I don't own the truck. of course, if I owned the truck I wouldn't have gotten hung out by knight I'd have run off and left him lol not the point though. an hour later now and I'm still fuming over that ####. I do very good at keeping my temper in check but this one flipped my switch big time. you don't know how bad I was hoping to see him pumping gas wherever I decided to park lol

another solid week. will have 3165 when I get back to advance around 8 in the morning.

big screwup of numbers at pepsi this morning in tampa. 5 of us there nobody had the right numbers. mine worked out the easiest. I needed ending 3168. what I had on my assignment was 31698. second time this week I got one too many numbers in my number. the last guy left who was the first one there had his load loaded on a crete trailer. the shipping guy told him to take it anyway. their product, going to the right destination. you need to pull the trailer. driver told him I don't think I can do that I have to call dispatch. shipping guy told him you're taking that trailer lol.....no I'm calling dispatch. when the other 4 of us left he was still on the phone trying to get it worked out.

then of course 3 of us get up to weigh and they were ahead of me long enough I knew it was thir 2nd pass over the scale when I rolled in behind them. I had 35600 on the tail but room to work it so by my 3rd pass I had 33800 with wiggle room to fuel. the other guy was well past 41' and best he could get was 34660. he was debating pulling 2 more holes and running or taking it back for rework when I left. the young guy left before both of us with a 53 and had it pulled all the way to the rear. stretched out all the way. never said what he was going to do. we're all going to Columbia. I made it to within 20 miles before I ran out of time so i'll get up early early and run it on in and then home with about an hour left on my 70 when I get there.

got a plan on the way up loading in lake city going to ecru for tomorrow lol.....had to call and ask if they were still hungover from thanksgiving or if they'd actually took the time to look at my hours before they planned that? lol they cancelled it and told me to deadhead on to advance out of Columbia.

no plan for Monday so guess it'll be back to another short week. had 2 good ones in a row knew that wouldn't hold up more than 2 weeks.

 

Yea, they think you do it on purpose, when you get hung out on the left lane and the driver dont care or too busy on the phone.....Well i turned in my app today.........now to wait or call him by the end of the week. BTW do you have appt. time to drop the load or windows to get it there?
