Buddy was canned for dropping a trailer, but he didn't actually couple it.

I can't imagine driving a vehicle, big rig or other, without having a flashlight as a part of my basic "kit." Along with a few other simple tools. Good grief we don't have to be talking about one of those 332 cell Mag Lights that are used to kill people. A simple two AA cell light that will fit on your belt or clip in your pocket is better than nothing.

As soon as you say "I thought the other guy did........", its over for you...thinking is unacceptable when knowing was less than 50' away....

You couldn't see the sarcasm in his post?People blame everyone else for their own actions.Just like when drivers follow their GPS right smack into a low bridge or a no trk route, they'll find every reason not to make it out to be their own fault. The op was blaming him not having a flash lite for why the trailer dropped rather then the real reason. The real reason is his buddy didn't check to see I hes hooked before taking off.But the good thing is it happened on the property rather then out on the street.Problem I have noticed in the last few yrs and getting worse is lack of training to begin with, lack of common since, schools don't have the heart to truly teach the students just hurry up get cdl and get out,let companies worry about training you.Companies don't care either. Its really sad what this industry has become.

I like the ones on a headband. Comes in handy unloading a tank. You have use of both hands and the light is wherever you look.

Comes in handy for a lot of things, from checking your oil to doing minor first aid to yourself in low light!
