Its a great bike road ya gotta try it. Any experienced rider won't have a problem providing they're not trying to ride over their head. No decreasing radius turns. Pretty easy to catch a rhythm. The biggest threat is some fool coming from the other direction crossing over the center line. IMO weekdays are the best time. Check the Deals Gap stores website for a calendar of events. I wouldn't care to be near the place on a bike when a car club is having a meet.

i agree i was just pointing out that they make it seem like that road will be so much safer now and the post the crash statistics.
-
It will be safer--- for trucks!!!! lol.
-
And do it at 60 mph with no escort.
-
They've had signs up strongly discouraging trucks for a long time. I took it in a 40' straight truck last summer (oops) and it required my complete attention. I did pass flat beds, day cab reefers and log trucks, and thought - "WTF"? I wouldn't do it again in a commercial vehicle, but would of loved taking it on with the '64 Triumph Spitfire I used to own!
-
The towns along dragons tail must have everything brought in by truck, I took a load of ductile pipe halfway up it with my old 44ft flat trailer hooked to long W/star picked out T/shirt at bottom of MT.

No thanks. Dragon sounds like a massive headache for anything bigger than a pup. I have always avoided it.
-
Sounds perfect for wiggle-wagons .

It does seem as most off the accidents on this route have 2 causes.
1° SPEED
2°lack off common sense.
Banning trucks will not stop the accidents,it will increase them.
The bikers and cars will now think they have nothing left in their way and will go even faster. -
I see nothing wrong here! What's the problem
