Nebraska used to require that HAZMAT stop at the EB scale on 80 outside N. Platte. They took the sign down though a few years back.

ethos is correct except thatfor Ohio is if you don't have the Hazmat Alliance permit. Your company should have a pamphlet from PrePass that shows state by state restrictions or you can go online to PrePass and find it. A friend of mine got pulled over after he passed the Hope, Ar scale when placarded. The cop gave him the pamphlet along with his ticket. Nice guy.

Appreciate all the feed back. I made a copy of the Prepass brochure and forwarded it to my dispatcher. Hopefully it will slow down some of the rumors associated with hauling Haz Mat. Our company is just starting and we will have placarded dry vans.

For Ohio it says "unlicensed hazmat" What does that mean?
tscottme Thanks this. -
You should have a paper with your permit book titled "Alliance of Uniform Hazardous Materials Transportation". If you have that and it is current you are licensed.tscottme Thanks this.
