Once is good enough, no matter whose truck you're driving. Heck, it's hard enough to drive a car there!
tow614 Thanks this. -
I ran it a few times, always with a codriver. I won't go there without someone to navigate... and that's in a straight truck. In a big truck? Fuggedaboudit.

So far my beautiful bride and I are really enjoying our team-driving experience with Big G. This week we started out with a nice 2700 mile run from Spartanburg SC to Hayward CA. Then got a back haul that picked up in Modesto CA. The load had a couple extra days on it, so we dropped it at the Memphis drop yard. Picked up a pre-loaded trailer in West Memphis AR and dropped it at 840. We then picked up a pre-loaded Vijon load at 840 and brought it thru the house. We got in early this morning and will leave out Monday morning headed to a Woodland PA for Monday delivery. That will give us ~5700 miles for the week with a full 48 hours off this weekend. Can't ask for much more than that. Looking forward to a short week next week and the Thanksgiving holiday.
hey Tenn I See, did they get you a new truck? What kind did you get and were you able to retrieve all your stuff from the old truck? Just curious how they worked that out for you. -
is Ohio a good freight lane for Big G. if you stay out 3 weeks do you get 3 days off???

Yes I got into Truck #1630,Its a T680 with 195,00 on it which is fine because by now the new truck bugs are worked out, also it was immaculate when I got in it. It is a great truck, thought I would miss the VOlvo but I don't, I am home until tomorrow then I have a load going to Massachusetts to get my stuff out of 1562 Monday.8thnote Thanks this.

Yeah, the Kenworths are as nice as the Volvos, and they are lighter too which means you don't have to sweat out a 43k load to make it legal. I drive a T 700 with TransAm and love it though the fuel mileage is 6mpg. Great travel truck as are the Volvos. Yours a manual TIST?

I put in an app for Big G yesterday as I was sitting at a shipper. After the 16 hr mark, I decided to go ahead and do it, LOL. I spoke with a driver from there a few months back at B&G Foods when they were in Antioch, TN. Made my decision then that I wanted to work for them. Called them today, and they said it is being reviewed. I dont see any reason why I shouldnt be hired. I was getting 2500 - 3000 miles a wk to start where I am at now, now im lucky to get 1500.
