A Freightshaker would be better than one of those pos Cornbinders !!!

Everyone has an opinion but nothing to say about what company a brand new driver should go with. I am researching who a brand new (team drivers) should go with. Best all around package. Central Valley in California but willing to relocate because we rented the house and have no more kids at home. You get the companies come in to sell you on their company but I don't really want to hear from them. Who has some suggestions? Not worried about home time right now. Just want to drive, get some time and experience in.

Crete/Shaffer pay is one of the highest of the mega OTR companies. Only a recruiter could tell you if you qualify. There doesn't seem to be any team posters on here but they do have some teams. They are mostly solo drivers. LTL companies also use teams and typically pay more than OTR companies.

I like crete for the most part
But 63 mph trucks stink I'm used to it now
and I have done pretty good with crete
Wish I could average more then 2300 miles paid a week
I do run 2700 or more but not all paid

if you look around the TS you will realize most drivers deserve what they get

If you can stay with a small carrier for 7 years before they go out of business what is wrong with that
most drivers change jobs before underwear
