Hi, I am on old Columbia, and it looks like there is no alarming on low voltage of batteries like newer volvo. Every time I run bunker-heater for sleeping, I am really uncomfortable with worrying what if battery goes dead in the morning. I checked internet, and saw battery isolater could be a good solution, but cannot find how to wire and which battery will be starter battery. BTW if you have a good solution on this issue, could you share? I really need worry-free sleep.
Thanks in advance!
heat bunker battery drain protection?

I had a 2005 Columbia. It had a box that would cut off the non essential things (like radio, bunk fans, all interior lighting. Had a alarm you could barely hear that started beeping a few minutes before it shut everyting off. Box was located on right side wall behind passenger seat. Was a plastic door covering it. Don't know if this helps any but there it is.

Webasto and espar bunk heaters use very little juice.. The engine heater uses more but most have a 2 hr timer that is enough to warm engine for easy starts .. I just ran my webasto 20 hrs on a layover truck started fine .. If you run a reefer unit you can put a battery post behind bunk and jump truck from their in a pinch .. If your unsure of your batteries I'd get them load tested to ease my mind
Vish Thanks this.
