Just texted the recruiter to sign me up, after only a brief conversation, mainly because people say the company is decent and I'm sick of trying to evaluate all these companies. Website is kind of thin on time off and extra pay policies. Is it hard to get detention pay, unload pay, etc, out of them? Do they explain the pay clearly? Do they get you home for Christmas? Do you generally get home time when requested? Are any holidays paid? How much vacation time do you get? Do they allow off-duty driving?

Time off depends on you and your dispatcher. Detention pay was paid fine @ 13 an hour but unload pay you gotta beg for it and you still might not see it, same with hazmat they want you to call it in but wont pay you for it. Working holidays is mandatory, we were told you have to pick either christmas or thanksgiving to have off, can't take both holidays off. No extra pay for working holidays and no vacation. They just give you like 500 bucks and consider that your vacation but you can probably take a week off anyway. They do allow off duty driving but will get on your ### about it if you aren't bobtail and if you don't return to your original location. All forced dispatch even though they claim its not, they will make you take it anyway and they rarely stack any loads on you. So sometimes you end up waiting at areas that aren't meant for trucks like small bay area shopping centers. I would just drive back to where I can park 60 miles away and wait for a load.

Over all its a decent company but could be way better if they actually stacked a load on you, sent some kind of text to your phone if you got a preplan while you're off the truck, if they got you home with in a day or two of the date requested and if you didn't have to fill out all those bubbles on the trip sheet. The miles are there and the equipment is decent. They have fridges and scanners in the trucks and air gauge which comes in handy when adjusting your tandems. Just communicate with your dispatcher when you're going to get to a low freight area so he can work on finding you a load outta there and you'll be fine. You'll hate the wilsonville yard, it can get tight in there and you may have to get creative on moving trailers around while trying to drop or pick one up. Oh and you also can't go to certain truck stops most are in CA. No sugar coating here.
