Just curious - I read somewhere that something like 98% of Prime tanker runs are on the east coast. True? I also saw a pic on Prime's Facebook page that showed a tanker at a rest stop in Montana. I'm starting orientation for Prime tanker 1/12 and wondering where I'll see in this great country of ours. Thanks all!

Thats what I hear also but I see them around the west a bit. 98%? probably. I pull flatbed for Prime and I usually see one out west every other time I'm near "home" in Utah.

The very vast majority of tank freight under Prime is east of the Mississippi. Typically you will only see team ops out west, even then- not so much.
lot of NJ, NY and PA work. Not bad work at all, lot of sitting involved. -
In tanker, the majority of west coast runs are run by solos.

If you wouldn't mind, what will you be making with Prime?
-
I'm taking the week long orientation, unpaid. After that, they will front you $200 per week for the 3-4 weeks it takes to finish up training for your CDL. Then it's $700 a week for 7-8 more weeks before finally being "hired" and getting your own truck at .45 cpm for tanker.
-
How long are you forced to be out for?
-
From what I understand, they prefer 3 weeks out before taking time off.
-
Yikes. Is it mainly food grade?
-
All food grade.
