Not my list. They've treated me very well, got me home when I wanted them to, paid what they said they would, and kept me running. In return, I work as efficiently as I can and try to utilize the truck to its full potential while I'm out. Usually I'll be resetting after 5 or 6 days, getting over the 70 hours in 8 days of usage they'd normally expect from the drivers who like to run 8.75 hours/day. I keep rolling, we both keep earning, and we're both pretty happy as far as I know.

So I'm not the only one that thinks the message about our fuel mpg from fill up to fill up is ridiculous?
-
They did away with sending messages while you're driving, unless it's really important. They also did away with the little "thank you for sending your 32", and you won't get that MPG crap until you've stopped and can check messages. It doesn't bother me at all, it comes up on my dash and I reach over and hit the read next button. I figure they'll completely do away with it in a couple of months. I drive the truck the same either way, and usually go home with around 7MPG or better.

I believe my reaction to the first one was "Are you friggin' kiddin' me?"

I try dude I really do. I got some dude about to blow a tampon with because I pointed out he was on of these guys and now he's taking off. Some people are so temperamental

Oh boy don't you just love it when your load assignment says final ETA 0700 and it's confirmed with your DSR and, sometimes if your unfortunate enough to have a broker load, the broker only to get to the receiver to be told that you were suppose to be there at 0600 and that you are late and now you have to wait until 12 noon. That just ties my panties in a knot!

I had a company load that was for 0445. I got there an hour early and was told that the appt was for 1500 the previous day! Customer service made another one and didn't confirm it, so they wouldn't take me then either. Long and short of it was I got out of there at about 2030 that night. I took my 10 hour break while I was waiting on them to pull their collective heads out!
This has been happening way too much lately, and for the last three trips out, I haven't gotten home on time. So much for the "guaranteed hometime" BS.
They ask me to get their loads where they want them to be, when they want them to be there. I do it on time, every time, and do it safely. All I ask is they get me where I want to be, when I want to be there in return.
Seems most trucking companies only want it one way. -
I know some of the delays getting home are fuel related. I live in the middle of nowhere and used to get deadheaded 200+ miles home. Now we waste a day trying to find a load that will sit in my driveway for 4 or 5 days and when that fails they want to do relays at the house. Lately it just seems as though the planners have been mailing it in.

I guess I was lucky that they screwed me right out of school, after evo I. whereas I didnt feel I was obligated to continue, since I would be paying for my own training anyway.
I figured if they was going to screw me that hard while training. What was it going to be like after I was going solo for them ?? I am old enough, and it wasny my first rodeo, that I could see it wasnt going to be a very good experience down the road with Roehl. I still keep intouch with a few of the other people I grauduated with on a weekly bases. They are having there problems but it could be because they are new to the industry.
But one thing for sure, Roehl might first in safety, They need alot of work on the people who handle and communicate with there Good Drivers. The dont have a clue on who makes the company what they are today..In case they are reading this: Which I know for a fact that they are ! Its your DRIVERS, then Maintance people form the newest to the oldest..!!!! Not your DSR;s or fleet managers. Since they hold there drivers to such high standards. Maybe they should also consider such standards for the Dsr's and fleet manager too.
Sure they are training 6 or 7 drivers per week. But if 5 of them are leaving, you have a problem. What they did to me on my last day of evoI should have been considered a Fatal Accident, and the Dsr and Fleet Manager should have been fired. My opinion only.lol. Roehl or J.B.Hunt ? I think it might be a toss up on that one. -
I dunno....
They deadhead me home about 130 mi from STL on a semi regular basis. A couple of trips ago, they dead headed me home almost 300 mi. This time they sent me home bobtail after dropping the trailer at a drop yard. WTF over?
Lack of planning, or a good plan dropped in the lap of weekend dispatch is my suspicion.
