if you go to S. Carolina, pm me. I'll let you know where I got mine. I was a little nervous about it, but it was a piece of cake. The doc was really cool.

so much misinformation regarding this, the official word is the Dr. can request that you get one done but there is no regulation requiring one now or even in the near future.
-
Something to remember.
If you get a DOT physical while away from home and fail you are out of service immediately. Failed medical exams are reported to the state that issued your Cdl and it's downgraded tointrastate only the next business day. -
Went to local to have it done.. the company I'm employed by wouldn't accept it.. had to be done by one of their doctors.. when needed they set it up and pay for it

Well then I am at 26.8
So I am "safe for now".
This IS what I thought I heard too, in fact from the OOIDA magazine.AZS Thanks this. -
happened to see a poster ad in a J today that said CVS's Minute Clinic do them now? Assume they are certified. Check out the website if you are inclined.

Minute clinic, we have them here as well. But what I question is, can they do a full DOT in a minute? If not, then they are falsely advertising, and as such, should give us our money back. I mean if Dominos can deliver a pizza in 30 minutes or less, or it's free, why not a DOT physical?
Just like "Dollar Stores", is everything under a dollar? I dun't think so, many was a time I'd go into a Dollar Store and come out spending more than a dollar! -
I got mine done in a minute clinic just a couple weeks ago, most of them are a part of the FMCSA national registry but check the FMCSA site before you go to one to make sure. It takes longer than a minute but the subject of sleep apnea never even came up.
-
Thanks for the heads up of CVS Minute clinic doing DOT exams. I just checked on FMCSA site and sure enough there is 1 Dr. that is out of there.
Here is the link to FMCSA site to check if your Dr. is in the system.
