figured I would give a periodic update on whats going on here as I started with Cressler Trucking this week in Carlisle, Pa.
Thay are owned by Keen Transport and we run out of the same terminal. I will run northeast regional both van and flatbed.
Van is 49 cpm and flatbed 56 cpm for northeast loads. Many Cressler drivers only pull van, but they said I could run both if I want.
I figured 56 cpm was pretty good pay. $80 for tarping and other extra pay which is listed on their website.
So far I have seen large coils of roofing material, pipe and smaller equipment on the cressler flats. Also some of the accessories for the larger machines. I will pull drop decks as well. The larger equipment will go on the Keen trucks.
They said it was around 50/50 van and flat.
I will be home on weekends and stay in the northeast.
They seem pretty relaxed, but safety oriented, which makes sense with some of the equipment they pull in the oversized fleet.
I have been getting safety training from an ex state trooper and he knows his stuff . So far so good.
drive safe everyone,
shane

I feel bad for you. Anything north east sucks. It dosnt matter what it pays. I've gotten 3000 mile loads going to the north east that I gladly donated. But, you are in the best spot for hauling flatbed though.

I worked for Keen twice.... hands down the best company I ever worked for. Good luck and keep the updates coming.

I hope Cressler is good like Keen ! lol

Soooooooo? How's it going? I've looked into Cressler in the past, and the pay and hometime package seems very impressive. Compared to Keen's, it makes me wonder why anyone would work at Keen, unless you really want to drag around big stuff?

Cressler was closed down for good in Nov 2013, northeast could not pay the bills I guess
-
where did they haul? I was looking at them but they want minimum 3 weeks out. I don't know about all that -
They haul all 48 states and Canada. In order to make consistent money you need to stay out 5 to 6 weeks. That's why I left, they are a great company, I just hated staying out that long.
