take photos of any abusive language a dispatcher sends you. And since you said your dispatchers are crappy, fire the current one you have. Send a msg and say youre fired.
I did it with swift. So don't be a pushover, be a b with attitude - no load is worth your compromise when you are not well. -
Send a message on the qualcomm that you're sick and going to sleep. The load will still be there when you get done.
-
or the dispatcher will call her 45 times (after she tells him she's sick) and he acts like he didnt hear the words; I AM SICK........
just turn off your phone and get the rest you need girlfriend -
I am officially off the load.
I called in instead of putting it on the Qualcomm & I just told him that there was no way that I could actually do with the load right now. He insisted that there was nobody else that could do it. So I told him there's no way I could do it if I was throwing up. He finally relented and angrily said he's going to have to scramble to find somebody else to cover the load.
STT says tomorrow I really need to call safety and get them on his case for it. Because he knew at 1:30 when I talk to him on the phone that I was having a problem between being sick and being exhausted and he left the load on me telling me I had to take an 8/2 split to be able to get enough hours and then I had to run as hard as I could right up to the end of my hours to get the load delivered and there's just no way I can do that right now.
STT said don't worry just take some nyquil get some sleep and call safety in the morning. I've already talked to the kids and if I'm not feeling better in the morning I'm going to talk to safety about just heading to Longview so I can head home and go to the doctor.I don't know if I'll do any good to go to the doctor since it's a virus but at least then I'll have the doctor behind me saying that this is what it is.
Sadly I cannot get rid of him just yet. I'm still in my first 90 days. When I'm done with my 90 days and I can request a new driver manager & I plan on it. I thought him and I were starting to get along but obviously after today that is definitely not happening.icsheeple and Giggles the Original Thank this. -
Dont let him get angry with you! dont let him try to pull the guilt trip crap on you; there are other options they can find another driver. Yes you can't get rid of the company but you can request another dispatcher

The Captain is the Captain is the Captain . Any questions ?
An old saying of mine .TruckerGonnaBe Thanks this. -
My 2 cents....I can't even believe this is a question on this forum. Anyone with half a brain would be fast asleep instead of asking for advice in this situation. I can see it now during the manslaughter trial...."well you honor, the guys on TTR told me to keep going even though I was tired. It's not my fault I killed a family of 4"Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
I think you have the right idea, basically, but you have to learn to protect yourself. And if it comes to a he said/she said, situation, you don't have anything to go on.Wild Murphy, Sik_Life and Giggles the Original Thank this.
