I'm going to ask around when I get home about it. Be a tech addict I'd guess that kill command is in the computer module itself on the truck and not the mcp.

You've been thru hell and you just started Schneider.Thats too bad.Blame that health clinic. What non approved drug was you taking? It was very wrong of Schneider to shut your trk down.I know MI gets downright cold and had you waited for another driver it would have been Monday at the earliest. Not a good way to end the year.Even though this is no fault of your own, don't be surprised if Schneider puts on your DAC abandonment. After reading your post it sounds like something they would do.

I was taking chantix. Although I experienced no side affects other than lucid dreams. They asked me why I was still taking it. Uh so I don't start smoking again soon after quitting? duh!

Good grief and they pulled your card for that???????????? They should be glad you wanna quit smoking.Heck even insurance companies give you the med for free.I had to quit taking Chantix because I was having some weird dreams and vomit every time.

Youre probably right. It's a good thing he didn't pull it apart and run with it though; then I know they'd have slapped him with stealing the rig.

If that's the case though that sounds like good new for the o/o's that run with SNI.

Chantix can adversely affect your sleep and mood. In some ways it's almost an antidepressant, but was classed ineffective for that indication. But it works on some of the same triggers that cigarettes do and blocks most of what gives a cigarette it's addictive qualities. So it's now a smoking deterrent. SNI is pulling a cya that I don't agree with even knowing what I do about the med... They want to be sure you don't drive off a cliff either on purpose or by accident.

Dfo so do those wires have the capability of acting like a kill switch ...?

Also are you running their plates...? If so when you get around to it you should get your own. Locally where you live. The IRP will just list Schneider as carrier responsible for safety. You don't need your own dot # to do this.......2290/bobtail everything you can get elsewhere I would.

The more separation you can have between you and them the better.....

I don't believe so... at least not on my old truck. Not to mention it would be super easy to bypass even if they did. Right now I run their plates... they've treated me well overall and I'm not really worried about that changing. I have a good relationship with the people I work with at SNI.

no, insurance companies will not give it for free. FMCSA HAS recommended against issuing a card to a driver prescribed this.risk is to great with the side effects.

Imagine , being on the receiving end of that driver who has the full weight of the side effects(suicidal, homicidal whatever else) in a fully loaded or even empty T/T.

Now this part is on the OP for not knowing or disregarding this prohibition. SNI is on the hook for not reviewing thoroughly his long form before handing him the keys or allowing him to leave the facility.

the lesson here is making sure your PCP has the list of prohibited meds and either writes the letter for exemption or the driver does whats right and temp gets out of the truck til cleared or finds another means to be successfully treated for whatever condition.

Again, congrats on the nonsmoking thing. You have given yourself a raise. My raise thus far has been 40 months x $225 or so a month.
