Well, I intend to leave as much money and property as possible to my kids. I have enjoyed my life so far and have the means to do what I like. The alcohol monster ravaged me for nearly twenty years before I faced that demon and walked away from it 5 years ago. I could easily pick up a drink and fall back into that pit, but I fight that urge every day because my career and family are far more important to me than the perceived enjoyment a drink could give me. Same thing goes for any other drug. It's your choice and until you choose to make your health, career and family if you have one, your priority, you will be only living for yourself. That's selfish and not a mature way to live life! Sorry for the rant, but it took me so long to figure out what life really was about, that when I see others worried about passing a drug test, I see myself a few years back, and I really do understand that battle. Choose to be sober and life is so much easier! Again, sorry for the rant!

Im younger than you and even I know it's stupid. Party all you want, but stay off our roads. I'll die a happy man knowing I provided for my family and didn't take another person's life in trying to be a good provider.
Personal lesson learned...next time this question gets asked, ignore it.skyviper73 Thanks this. -
Well. I believe that I haven't heard an update from the op in a while. Find anything out?
All other topics will hereby be ignored, have a nice day!skyviper73 Thanks this. -
Umm,, how could you know that you are "more safer"
than other drivers? That's a very arrogant statement. Also, calling us "dumb trucker"
is kind of insulting. I'm not calling you names, please don't call us names, OR are you just a troll trying to get a reaction from us? In that case, as you said, "what ever yo".

Just ignore the riff raff. After all, you never know when they'll be undercover cops trying to arrest people by luring them into the showers...

Most drugs do not have any of the side effects for 99% of the people, but this is what the government website says, just for informational purposes. I suspect smoking cigarettes, fumbling for the lighter, etc is at least as dangerous as being a non smoker on Chantix.
Chantix: A Safety Risk
The U.S. Department of Transportation, Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and Compliance (ODAPC) reminds all transportation industries of the potential threat to public safety caused by the use of the anti-smoking drug Chantix. A recent independent study spoke of possible links to seizures, dizziness, heart irregularity, loss of consciousness, vision problems, diabetes, and more than 100 accidents. As a result, we strongly urge all transportation industry employers to include in their employee training materials appropriate information to address this issue. -
Don't feed the trolls.

Logic. The government...tries to use it?
The government trying to use logic reminds me of Monty Python's Holy Grail...

Cold turkey is the only way to quit. Take a week off of work and literally sequester yourself in your room, wander out for food or bathroom. After 5 days the physical addiction is pretty much 95% gone. You'd be amazed at how strong the physical addiction is. Mental addiction is nothing in comparison, although it is there. After 7 days off if you can't quit then you aren't mentally strong enough to do it yet. Been nearly 5 years since I quit this way. If you are on any type of patch or gum all you are doing is extending the physical misery longer than it has to. And to take goofy medication like chantix just doesn't even make any sense. Why would you want to be suicidal and have "strange dreams"? That just sound creepy lol
dieselfuelonly and moosc Thank this.
