I used to jump to that other channel to hear if he had anyone interested. Usually not but a couple times you'd get some hot shot trucker who would say "I'm interested in looking but not interested in buying anything." He'd never respond to that.

Wrong. Law enforcement can and often do drive through private property in search of criminal activity.

Thank you.

Thanks for sharing this. My DH is brand new to trucking and doesn't know all of the cons. I'm passing this along.

I had a scary looking cat come up to me today at a "you-know-what-kind-of" hole truckstop today and flash me a Werner keychain saying he just got stranded by his trainer. I wasn't buying his story and made that known by my actions, so he tries to "guilt" me into helping him get what he called "pocket money" so that he could start working his way back home. Actually got mad at me for not buying his story. Unfortunately, I was polite to my fellow drivers and did not not park around the pumps when I went inside. I found a slot in the lot and walked in, which meant this butt clown was probably going to follow me all the way back to the truck. Instead of going to my truck, I walk up to the first flatbed truck I see keeping my eyes peeled for something shiny to swing if need be. He finally got the message and walked on off and started bothering another driver.
The moral of this story is that when you sense something isn't quite right, act like you drive a flatbed, even if you don't (I pull vans). Flatbed drivers actually work for a living and if they are an O/O, they usually are carrying a piece within reach at all times. Additionally, there is always something like a cheater pipe, binder, or chain that you can swing if need be.slomocopshow and unloader Thank this. -

i think a small blade is a good idea, not to stay and fight but to slash as you make your way to safety. key word is slash not stab. and quickly make your way to a safe spot.

i have also thought about getting one of those high powered q-beams and shine it on anyone who knocks on my door at night, blind the heck out of them. and... i also read, since pepper spray could be illegal to have, carry a can of wasp spray, that sounds like a really good idea.
