Hey I'm in school and I was just wondering what I should try out . I want good pay and I wanna see my daughter at least once every two weeks. Right now my choices I know of are covenant, Schneider, and werner.

Put your location on your profile.
Schneider is good, but there's several other companies that are good also.
Do you have endorsements? Endorsements open many more doors.

    Mackey11 Thanks this.

Oh sorry I will, I'm from Ohio. No endorsements yet. So far werner sounds the best. Also I'm in the Columbus of Ohio.

Any of those paid tuition? Which one has the best starting pay? Or are all trucking companies competitive? Thanks for the help :)

Some of them reimburse tuition; check the websites.
    Tyson has 70 mph trucks.

They're all pretty good starter companies. Check the websites for "accessorial pays" because "cents per mile" doesn't mean much if the "accessorial pays" aren't good.
Accessorial pays are such items as tarp pay, layover pay, detention pay, break down pay, etc.
For example, some flatbed companies pay $10.00 to tarp a load and others may pay $50.00

In the same boat as you. However, my home time was not an importance right this minute. I had a pre offer from Covenant even before I began RM in Tampa. Werner offered me a spot while in school. I did the thread researching, number crunching and you tube watching to base my decision on. You are going to learn a lot real quickly and just remember to play the game when you are in orientation/training and it will all pay off. Good Luck wherever you end up. Happy Holidays n stay safe.

My friend went to H.O. and has had nothing but issues driving for 3 weeks broke down for 2 of those three. might be an isolated issue but not impressive. They gave him a run around with tuition reimbursement as well, as being the lowest paid out there way to many hassles.
