Absolutely nothing wrong with a pooch in the truck.
We have 3 German Shepherds and a Husky at home. One of the Shepherds is ALWAYS with me, period.
I dare say the one riding with me gets more exercise than 95% of other peoples dogs that are at home and "have room to run". What a crock, seeing as most people live in a city/suburb environment, and not out of city limits etc like we do.
I also remove the passenger seat in every truck I buy and put the dog bed there, don't haul freight that has me running endless hours at a time, deliver to job sites where the pooch can run freely, and so on.
All 4 of the dogs are wanting to get in the truck when I leave, so I'll take their word that they enjoy it. Certainly more so than some stranger on the internet that knows no better......
Yep, they hate it and have a hard life.....

The newest addition, Tara. She comes out with me when she needs some "manners" teaching to her, as my wife says...

The prime drive I saw wasn't a O/O and had five and two of them where husky's both well over 40 lbs

I am not disputing if Prime allows drivers to bring pets or not. I do know *seeing* pets in a truck is the least reliable method of learning which companies allow pets. I have worked for companies that prohibit any pets and have seen dogs in the trucks, or being walked by a husband/wife while the other backs in. There are many pets being "illegally" carried in no-pet trucks.
A few years ago about half of the companies others reported as allowing pets did not actually allow pets. The surest answer comes from a trucking company's Safety Dept (Risk Mgmt, or whatever fancy name they use). Many trucking companies consider "illegal" pets the same type of violation as unauthorized passengers (hitchhikers). Getting caught sneaking a pet can be grounds for immediate termination. Good luck getting home with no truck and a pet in tow.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
They are beautiful Martin. Yes my dog sits at the front door when I put my trucking coat on. I was.floored the first time she did it. She feels like that is her job now.

When will they start making dogs wear a seat belt?
Would not be surprised if PETA calls for that, they protect all animal in every way possible.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
I've seen plenty of companies who'll allow cats and dogs but none yet who'd let me bring one of my mini pigs with me. Lame.
