    You don't say?

Well, your tone in the last few posts from you is making it relevant.

Wrong. YOUR attitude is up to the one responsible for displaying it.

You must be new to a site of this nature. So here is a bit of wisdom. All capital letters and boldface type tend to hurt the eyes when reading them.

    And who would that be?

We don't tolerate responses like that here. So if you want to continue to be a member, you'll back it down.

    Carry on.

I am glad you found something better Mark. Life is too precious and short to work for scumbags.

Some times...some times not. There are people (like me) that are the easiest going, nicest, most giving people on the planet---however; there is a line of tolerance that can and will be pushed by people with a lack of common sense and "street smarts", that will drive you insane regardless of how accepting or tolerant one is.

And if that is a reason not to read my post, you're not the kind that would understand what I am saying anyway, so there.
If you have the time MACK E-6, can you please show us where the OP broke the forum rules in that remark bad enough for you to threaten banning him? THOUSANDS of posts have the remarks "if you don't like it, don't read it" in them, and they never got this warning. Why now?

    Carry on.

Matters not. whenever one gets to that point, they are not required to respond.

That's called nipping it in the bud. It's the beginning of a recurring pattern that we see frequently.

The statement you underlined was delivered with a condescending tone that Ray Charles could see. Like I said, we don't tolerate that here.

Many posts of the nature you describe go unreported or otherwise unseen by the staff, and are therefore not addressed. That's why we appreciate reports.

This is completely wrong. DAC/ HireRight as a consumer information reporting agency, operates under the same rules as credit reporting agencies (Experian, Trans Union, Equifax) which is the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act). None of these companies make any judgement as to the accuracy or truthfulness of any information they provide, nor are they required to. They simply report what is told to them by credit providers, employers, banks, tax agencies, etc.. When a dispute is filed they contact the party that provided the contested information and request that they verify its accuracy. They do not themselves have any responsibility to "investigate" any of these disputes, nor would they have the means to do so. Many times in credit reports one number is off and something gets erroneously posted to a persons report, and it will be removed quickly. Other information will remain most likely.

They do have to allow you to post a rebuttal to a specific item of contention. If you do so do not make it a personal attack, you will lose any possibility that the party reading it will consider your point of view. If it is a serious enough matter you will need to get an attorney involved. Good luck actually finding someone who will represent your case truly in your best interest. Even then it remains your word against theirs, and who do you think has the deeper pockets to support their side of the argument.

Companies have long had their "code" they use in DAC reports. Most common ones are "Eligible for rehire? No." which means "Don't hire this person". However I have worked for companies that had a strict, published, no-rehire policy. So they fill that out truthfully yet others see it as a warning or red flag. Another item is reason for discharge listed as "failing to obey company policy" which is so open ended it really should not be allowed. Maybe one day you forgot your steel toe shoes and some supervisor gave you a warning. Two years later you've got enough experience and learn to start standing up for your rights, and you get fired. DAC then can show "failing to obey company policy" and they are truthful, no matter how minor or insignificant the incident was, it is truthful. Suing DAC or a credit bureau is a waste of time, they are not the ones who decide what information is in a report, have federal law to protect them, and legal precedent from prior court cases. Seriously do you think a clerk on the other end of the phone is going to be intimidated by (another) irate caller threatening to sue the company? I'm sure they hear that every day.

And for my opinion as to how all this affect drivers, notice this similarity. DAC and credit reports make a statement and it is near impossible to get removed if the original reporter does not wish to do so. Get a DOT inspection report and get dinged for something and how does Data-Q work? The same way, go back to the officer who wrote the ticket and ask him to verify it, or to change his mind. Not likely, right? Bottom line, the driver is always wrong, in the eyes (and reports) of those who hold power over them. No due-process, no investigation by an unconcerned third party, but contrary to what we have all been taught the accuser is the judge and jury.
