johnboy you are going to quit training???? how will I survive?? how will I go on???......... well Xmas is over and what a interesting was it was I was SICK the whole time got a nasty viral infection due to being over tired and run down the doc. says and returning tomorrow to work I am feeling little better... kinda of wondering what the next year brings to me...still under a load going to New Bedford MA for Monday am then who knows ...I have sent my FM a message to bring me thru the yard to get my assign truck back!!! its done and after talking to Shane last night at the shop he said everything was good and he was going to bring back in for a "once over"....I guess hooking what happen was this: after putting the new Alternator in they cross a wire form the starter(???) which made it try to turn back over causing the fire...then after putting the new starter in backwards causing more issues Shane fix it and now everything is back to normal .....we will see... I guess a never dull moment at Abilene.....

 

Have a safe trip , I am NORTH BOUND shortly myself along with my 9 year old trainee ( Grandson ) This Kid brings a load of GREAT COOKIES along with him

 

Have to save room for the VENISON or MOOSE steaks we get fed at the camp we are hauling into so the cookies are just for snacking on

 

Sounds like you are going to get fed really well on this trip. Maybe you had it planned so you could get this trip instead of one of the other drivers. Hope you have a safe trip and Happy New Year.

 

Got down to Miami about and hour early for a Hill Phoenix delivery. The gates opened at 8 and was on the dock by 8:05. I had one cooler on and was pretty happy thinking well this will be quick. Lol then the trucking Gods said otherwise. This unit is being shipped down to the Virgin Islands and it is not crated. So Tropical shipping said that's a no go. Thank god for waivers. Hopefully after my 6 hour delay the customer will sign the form and then I will be free to go. Oh well what can you say it's Monday. Lol
