Yep you are right, and most of our backhauls are going to be CH Robinson, when we are in a tight spot for a backhaul, and yes they are anal about the inside of the trailer at that plant, what I have done in the past when I know I was going there, was to drop by a blue-beacon if I was passing one, and just have them wash out the trailer, and send in the receipt-then no problem.

yeah it's not really that hard if they'd just do it.

that's good to know lol it'll give me some leverage when I leave Summerville shortly and don't have a plan for Monday yet and call in to find out why.

peoplenet is updated so we're back to the original 34 rule

well I'm back in from Summerville and be stuck here till who knows when Monday.

3 calls from 1300 when I got to Summerville till 1800 looking for something to do Monday. knew by the voice on the phone each time absolutely nothing was going to be done.

'she's working on it' was all I got each time. she didn't work too #### hard on it given she had 5 hrs to get something planned.

call in done in advance and all I get is 'call back after 9am monday'

that #### is really starting to get old. you'd think 5 months in now I'd be getting used to it but I just can't get with having half my day wasted 3 out of 4 Mondays a month

Could you see a good southern boy like me living in ny? lol not happening

that bottle trip wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to get there from Syracuse. I stayed there the night before last time I was there it's a lot easier if you don't have to start your clock till you leave.

Got a feeling I may be up there next week. It's been a couple of weeks.

what's in holland, MA if you guys don't mind me asking? I see they have an LTL position as well as truckload. I'm about to email an application for the colton, CA truckload position. But I have family in MA, so I was wondering if it's possible to take time off at that MA location even though I wont be running out of there. Thanks.

It's a drop yard. Bunch of different companies use it. Off 84 close to the pilot in Sturbridge.

We truckload guys run the LTL loads out there and drop them for those guys to pick them up and run their routes then we'll either get a backhaul or a deadhead to get us back down to the Leesport , pa DC where those loads originate.

If you'll be based / running out of Colton I doubt you'll ever see holland.

Truckload is supposed to be a 48 state gig and in rare cases you may find yourself out of your home dc's lanes but we have a loosely defined operating area for each DC that we rarely get away from.

For us east coast guys we rarely go west of Dallas up to Wisconsin. The Mississippi guys do some stuff farther west but running out of Colton I doubt you'd ever see anything east of the Mississippi......other than maybe the Ms DC's or Wisconsin DC's

Ahh thank you for the information. It doesn't sound like a bad gig from most of the posts I've read.
