Not to worry. After you get into your own truck, you'll spend most of your time looking out the big front window. When you aren't, you'll be tired enough to sleep well in the bed you're given. I drove a mid-roof for a long time as a regional driver. It didn't matter and in many cases, I was able to carry loads others couldn't and get in and out of tighter spots because the truck was "smaller." I really noticed the difference when I got my first condo, but it wasn't "better."
And as one who is a bit claustrophobic, I never felt any fear of closeness. It's not at all like a small room or enclosed space. Not to worry.

Over 500 pages...so I didn't look through all of them to find this particular answer. So, if it's been asked, I apologize.
I have a misdemeanor conviction from nearly 12 years ago (March 2003); no arrest, no jail time, just the charge, a court date, my admission of guilt , and sentence (probation only). Illinois does not require reporting such things after 10 years. I am unsure what federal regs or company policy is. How far back do they check? I would prefer not to relive that particular stupidity if I do not have to. Been clean ever since. I did not report it to recruiting, since I thought 12 years was more than enough time to allow such things to be unreported.
Should I just ask when I arrive, call recruiting, or is it okay to just forget it since it was over a decade ago? Really don't wanna be turned out because I was under the wrong impression. LOL -
I agree with n3ss. The closest I've driven to a LW was a KW660 and that was enough for me. I'm in the flatbed side and love it. Everything that you have to pay out of pocket that you need to operate your truck they will reimburse you.just get a PO# and submit your receipt with the trip and you'll get it back on the next check.
As far as miles I average 500/day cruise is set at 60 and I've gotten 8pmg all but 2 weeks since Jan. Granted this is with flatbed and not reefer. I don't sit for hours to get loaded or unloaded. It takes a hr max to tarp. Fyi tarp pay is $50 min. And $25/stop pay and 25 tarp for each stop. After your first. You're not only getting paid for miles. -
Prime is the first company I've been paid per diem. Do they give you a 1099 for the per diem? How is that accounted for? Just trying to get my tax info together.

You'll be fine on it. Do let your recruiter know that you had that bit of trouble so that its out in the open. That will be the last you hear of it.
