I have formulas that work pretty well but I would have to be with you in person in order to properly explain it.

 

I have a tentative class date of Jan. 19th ... need to get this figured out before then...

 

I got my formulas com an instructor that goes by the sobriquet of " Nathan ####ing Thomas " he speaks three languages; English, redneck and ####anese.

 

You ran into a new or sheepish underwriter. Try going to a military credit union. They deal with non-taxed additional income all the time.

Seeing as how you have no experience driving I would strongly suggest you don't do the lease program. As a lease operator you pay for EVERYTHING! Fuel, insurances(yes plural there are a few) the truck itself. You name it and if it goes to the truck it's on you. There are a few guys that make good money on the lease side but you need to have a business mind set. If not you will loose your ### quick.

I know some solo L/O that do ok. Most I've met go the training route to make more and in turn screw over the guy there supposed to be training by running as a team right off the bat. The average take home I keep hearing from solo L/O is around 1200/1500 a week. I do the same and I don't have to worry about taxes every quarter or owing uncle Sam. But I stay out for 6-8 weeks at a time. And as a lease operator you'll have to be willing to do that if not longer.

You have to complete one lease before you can do an ace lease. (Lease purchase) so depending on how long your lease is you could literally be paying for 4 trucks for the price of one.

If you team that's when you will really see good money coming in.

I asked one kid that literally just passed the test for leasing if I offered him a load that payed 3k if he'd take it. (He just got done telling one of the old timers that own they're own rig and have been here a long while how he only needs to gross 3/4k a week and he'll be set he don't care about the rest) Without asking a single question or skipping a beat he said he'll yeah!! Then I told him what if you were in Springfield dead head to L.A.to pickup and your drop was in Maine? His response. Sure that's a lot of miles!

If you decide to lease don't be an idiot and pay attention and listen to these guys that have been out here doing this a long time.
