so i can set timer @ 7am...1pm...and 7pm all in same day and it will run for set time... shut down and start over for three times...
is your heater rounded on top and bottom and kinda inclosed?
thanks... -
It runs on two deep cell batteries separate from truck batteries, over 24 hours before I need to recharge the batteries. Battery will recharge when I run down the road.

Mine will do that. I believe the top is rounded. Mine is in Espar's steel box that is mounted to the truck frame.

My company has Internationals that have coolant heaters that double as bunk heaters, along with the 'battery APUs'. Not sure who manufactures the units, but they run about 10 hours off the 4 'APU' batteries (with the sleeper blower fan running also). They also have problems with the combustion blower bearings failing after one season of use.

ProHeat is popular in Canada. The one in my truck sounds like a jet engine!
-
How much do the units cost? They look cool on youtube.
-
I think that on average its in the $3000 range for parts and instillation of an engine and bunk heater.
