Any company that would make your hiring decision based on a DAC report is no company worth driving for..

If that is their primary decision making tool I agree completely. However if it is used as just one of many sources of information, and the person(s) making hiring decisions are competent and able to sort through the BS and evaluate the person rather than what is just on paper, then I have no problem with it.
At one company I had to sort out all kinds of errors on my DAC, the company knew there was no possible way what was reported could be true, I had to sit down and detail "the truth." DAC had me listed as leased to my immediately previous carrier for the prior 24 years, which of course overlapped with several other leases and employers. Upon "challenging" my report the company in question insisted the hire date was correct, also they still had me listed as working there although I had been with my new company two full months already.mnmover Thanks this. -
Thank you! Good call!

Lesson here - All the more reason to run a video camera of your own 24/7 with clear Date and Time, on a data card, and send the cards once a week to your personal lawyer as a log of your own. A little extra time and expense which could make a world of difference someday. And no, I don't care if the company has a video camera also. Get your own. Hey, the cops have video cameras. Check the footage on the news, and you will find they are not on continuously and are sometimes re-shoots of the video in the police station. LOL. The trucking companies can get wise to the scams also. Sorry if I offend anybody, but I am not shouting, just imho.

I see where Mark is coming from. I live 45 miles from Quincy. I left a great job to be home weekends for lots of false promise. I went to Sharkey. Sisbro only gets their hand me down equipment. I got home 34 hours a week vs 3 days off every 12 days (72+ hours). Lost $500 a week and drove junk vs a new truck every 3 years. They would "adjust" their E-Logs to get the load there. I was at Sharkey 5 weeks. 2 of those were my 2 week notice and 1 was orientation

If you have proof of anybody adjusting your E-Logs you have them by the short hairs. My suggestion is take pictures with your phone and approve every day, that way no changes can be made. Let's see if they like their time with Ryan and Bloggo in Federal Prison.
