One problem with the northeast is loads pay good going into but to leave the region they suck...now loads pu/del in t b at region apparently pay good but otherwise is garbage coming out..
-
After hours of hassling around and many phone calls they put the load together with a hand written BOL lol and it wasn't supposed to be ready till 1am.
I asked the guard if I can park somewhere while they load my load.. he said "ask a yard jockey".
So I spoke to a yard jockey and he said to park way in the back where the dropped trailer lot is.
I did that for then another jockey to bang on my door and say I can't stay where they are moving trailers around.. he told me to park (bobtail remember) near the empty lot by the pallet shippers door.
So I do that.. finally lay down to a few hours later another jockey banging on my door.. NEVER ending.. never seen someone so pissed before. He didn't believe I was waiting on a load and he said no sleeping or parking is allowed anywhere on the property. I told him I do have a load and other jockeys told me it's okay to wait on my load here. He said NO.. I spoke to the jockeys and nobody ever said that.
So after 11 hours at the shipper I finally connect to my load for the SAME jockey comes and saying WTF is taking so long.. you're supposed to hook and leave! I said calm down I'm doing paperwork on my tasks on this load first. He stayed along side of me and stared at me until I left.
Then today I waited 5 hours to get unloaded near Allentown and then nearly another hour in line to get my paperwork (deck lady with bills pretty much ignored drivers and played on the computer most of that time) then had to wait 20 minutes for trucks parked in the everywhere in the middle of the lot to move so I can get out.
There's a reason why that 16 mile load paid $310... lol never again.
Oh yes fun times in the Northeastdamonarnold816 Thanks this. -
