If I go OTR... what are my options for accessing internet? do truck stops have wifi? Or do I have to buy an access plan?

There is truck stop WiFi, it varies in speed and signal strength. Its also prone to dropping a connection when a truck passes between you and the antenna. That won't help you in BFE when you need a connection to help you with your job. You'll need a national cell plan in any case, and most of them have a data package bundled with them. Coverage is important, since a lot of what we do is in the boonies.jbrodgers and silenteagle Thank this.

TNT pay is going up again to $800 per week.
-
Really ? That maybe enough to kick me in the butt soon
-
I found that at the truck stop you can't get onto WiFi if they have their own

Is the $800 TnT pay for the student or the trainer? When is this supposed to kick in? I should be starting orientation in SpriMo on Jan. 19th... would I be coming in to this ?
Has this $800 been confirmed by anyone yet? Or is this just a hearsay rumor? -
Best way to access internet otr is a smartphone. Then if you feel you need to you can always tether your phone to your laptop for internet on your laptop.
jbrodgers Thanks this. -
I forgot that I could do that... thanks.

Best way to get updated information is through a recruiter. Only they have the most up to date information that you can get from the source instead of going through someone else.
jbrodgers Thanks this. -
If you do, do it make sure you have unlimted data as if you do not you will use up a good bit of your data plan without even noticing it.
jbrodgers Thanks this.
