Just checked nd.craigslist.or and I saw jobs galore in the upper 20's with housing, etc...
The rigs may start stacking but the wells will stI'll flow with production water and crude. Just keep an eye on the drilling rig count. There are 169 currently in north dakota , was as high as 180 awhile back.
Direct rig service will slow but with 169 rigs it's good now.
The jobs are still there. I was ablessed to buy a truck by working the oilfield, I still recommend it.
Oilfield is not dead yet

Yeah, I put driving on the back burner as I got offered a nice hot shoting & mechanical gig(delivering and working on loaders, light towers, etc) for really good pay. I've done a lot of roustabout, casing, and wireline work for the past few years and there's still plenty of money to be made whether you're trucking or working on the rigs themselves. It's moving down towards dickinson and spilling into South Dakota a bit, Watford is doing good as well, Williston is pretty much leveled off though. Oil prices will go back up eventually and we'll get even busier

I haul condensate out here in the marcellus and utica and we have never been busier. Markwest just invested billions of dollars into new facilities in our area to separate the gases, there is no way this drop in oil is gonna last, not with the constant turmoil in the middle east!

Hopefully we'll soon start exporting LNG and bring that price up to 8 to 10 bucks, sure it'll suck for the American consumer, but it will be great for the country. And great for the frackers. and investors

They all require one year or more yrs experience. Smh

There are a few that if you prover you can drive they wI'll give you a chance. Just have to sell yourself
-
That's what they say, but when I got into being a rig hand they wanted 1yr + experience too, but believe me most will still hire inexperienced. Especially now(at least for rig hands) because people start leaving in droves when it starts getting cold out.
A lot of businesses will put up barriers(osha card, 1yr experience, etc) to weed out the unmotivated. If you're serious you'll call or go to their shop and like oilfieldmike said sell yourself and you'll get hired.
And let me tell you something, if they don't offer housing, don't waste your time with them. Loves gas station offers housing to its employees, so does wal-mart and I think cash-wise does too. So if they can't offer a package that can compete with a grocery store or gas station, screw em, they aren't worth your time.
Good Luck on your job hunting, you'll probably be hired by the end of today lol -
Lol thanks for the strong words.i don't live in those areas, so I have to play the phone game. Going to keep trying and should be working sometime by February, March
