Suicide by truck

Clarity: He was born a male and that's what he is, a male. No amount of surgery or drugs would make him a female in anyone's eyes but his own.

I also submit he was too young to understand the ramifications of his desires. It's not possible to consider all the possibilities........and besides....just whom did he expect to pay for the years of drugs and surgeries had he gone forward?

Dunno guys, tough call and a very selfish act by a juvenile in need of help. As adults we stand convicted of a failure to listen and recognize the signs in many cases like this.

That's my issue with this. As they say...suicide is a permanent solutions to a temporary problem. In this case...all she had to is: 1. Wait one more year to do what she wants, or 2. Talk with an attorney that's experienced with LGBT matters and pursue the process of becoming an emancipated minor. With the amount of visibility that's on kids in this boat...I would put money on it that she could have gotten an attorney to take on her case pro bono.

Life is tough...wear a helmet. I've known enough gay and lesbian people over the years (they had to deal with some serious discrimination issues prior to the recent civil rights improvements) that I don't have a whole lot of pity for people that take the easy way out. That's exactly what suicide is...the easy way out. It's a lot easier to jump in front of a truck and become a splat on the grill and interstate than it is to go through the counseling and surgery process for gender reassignment.

I know one guy that was born a woman and had to "come out" to his father...who was a career military officer. Yeah...as you could imagine...his dad wasn't all that supportive. He dealt with things and plugged along. It wasn't an overnight process though, which I have to assume that this girl didn't understand. You're talking a mult-year process just to get to the point where a doctor will even consider starting the gender reassignment surgery.

 

My god you're an idiot of epic proportions. Not a lot of schooling where you're from. Oh yeah, you're the same ignorant ### who whined about people needed to make over $500 a week. Keep showing that intelligence princess.

 

What kinda "semi" killed the dude or the extent of the damage?

I'd like to see the driver sue for pain and suffering and take the dudes life insurance and if any of parents wealth. WHY?
The ambulance chasing lawyers probably see MEDIA VIRAL opportunity and take the carrier and driver for all they're worth. Pathetic.

 

I hate that we have to live in world were so many people have this distorted why of seeing things. If and when these people finally die off over time there could be peace on earth. Open your mind before you open your mouth!

 

People who commit suicide are (generally) not in their "right mind" at the time. I can't help but feel, despite the consequences to the victims they leave behind, they still deserve pity more than condemnation..

 

The dirt bag coward that did this to the driver of that truck deserves nothing. I can only hope they suffered awhile before they died.

 

Well for your sake i hope nothing ever happens to you in life that causes something to "short out" in your brain! Narrow minded fools like you have petty for morbidly obese people then condemn drug addicts and alcoholics and mantel illnesses. What this kid did was wrong believe me but all of you wishing more pain and suffering on anyone here is just plane wrong. why should they deserve pity for messing up another person's life? to heck with that. like i said before, if they wanted to end their life so be it, find a way to do it by themselves. as soon as they decided to involve another innocent person in their plan they lost any pity, condolences, sorrow, or anything like that.

I have had relatives who have attempted suicide and i have had to live with the repercussions, so don't tell me i don't know anything about this.

this idiot decided, woe is me, i have to kill myself, let me find another person because, i just can't do it to myself. to HELL with that.

and this iis NOT a "trans gender" issue. all of that is pointless when "it" decided to have someone else kill them. i could care less what they wanted to be.
