This is good advice. Go to court and the only parties smiling will be the lawyers, no matter how right you might be.

 

Absolutely, the first line of defense the dealer will throw up will be stonewalling, this is an attempt to buy time and to see if you will just go away. My advice would be to conduct all communication with them via email, as the written word does not change and those emails will be admissible in civil court. They will settle, but you will have to drag them kicking and screaming to the settlement table. Having documentation, i.e. the emails, will go a long way to getting a favorable settlement. I'm speculating, but I would guess OP was advertising the power of social media. Continuing my speculation, a lawyer representing LKQ set forth protocol to OP's lawyer about no further comment rules. Just my opinion and speculation. However, my speculation has been said to be full of ####, at times. Anyway, social media can call out a wolf in sheep's clothing. Lawyers can try and repel the truth once they get involved. Sometimes, in this case, that's just a little, a little too late. Now watch, I'll probably get banned.
