Our fuel desk sent out a QC message yesterday that it had indeed been closed, and locked up. Seems a couple of trucks had been routed their for fuel, and found the place barricaded.

I heard that as well.
-
What a mess that place was
-
Perhaps there going to tear it down and build a truck stop?
-
Nope, same situation as with the TA in Troutville, VA. They are going to use the property for improvements to the freeway interchange with S. Atlanta Rd.
-
That was a joke btw....... Get it.....a truck stop were a pilot used to be..
tucker, BUZZSAW and joseph1135 Thank this. -
Great joke indeed, at first I didn't realize it.
BUZZSAW Thanks this. -
When I ran for Transport America back in the day, we weren't allowed to park at that Pilot due to the amount of "suspicious traffic" that ran around down there. Losing it is no loss to the industry.

Both times I parked there I heard gunshots, once in the
early afternnoon

I heard this as well, back in spring of 2014. She said they would be closing in September so that a cloverleaf could be put in to deal with the traffic problems there. My first thought was "if the truckstop is gone there won't BE any traffic problems." It was still there a couple months ago so I figured she was pulling my leg. So is it true?
