If we have money to spend on the things made in China, India and other parts of the world, how exactly are we getting poorer?

If we were getting poorer we would spend less, wouldn't that make them less money?

Labor= national security? Maybe we should replace border guards with Teamsters.

I see, its only good for America to prosper, no one else? The only reason other people are on this earth is to insure you have enough stuff?

ur point 1- If u don't know what "we" means u might wanta take sometime to think about it.

ur point 2- The only things that r made, r made in China, India and other countries, we have to buy them! Thanks to Sam Walton and Walmart. I would rather pay an American company $10.00 for a Town Craft tee-shirt that LAST, than have my money go to another country enriching them and the coroprations. If you don't know about the concept of money going out of the country and the damage it does maybe u should think on it. A country that sends it's money out of the counrty will go broke and we, are going broke. We have to make our own stuff and sell the excess to other countries. We have to make r own goods or go broke. We r going broke.

ur point 3- We r getting poorer. What, u can't see fuel going thru the roof, and what about food. Poeple have to use credit cards to live and each month end up spending more than they r earning for the month. Not to mention the drastic drop in home prices; again a product of corporate rip offs and a gov. that has failed it's citizens hidding behind deregulation. NO MATTER WHO IT WAS THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM THEY R BOTH RESPONCIBLE.

What r u some kinda bleeding heart. I suppose u cry for the murdering theiving indians, that use to steal land from each other, who use to kill, muerder and torture each other, rape women and children using them as slaves.

Dont feel so bad we are paying over 5$ a US gallon in Canada

 

News for today says if oil goes to $200.00 a barrel gas will be $7.00 a gal. Again I believe that saying that gas will go to $7.00 a gal is a way to keep the public from panicing.

Last summer oil was $60.00 a barrel and gas was $3.00 a gal. At $120.00 a barrel gas should be $6.00 gal. At $180.00 gas should be $9.00 a gal. At $200.00 a barrel gas will be around $10.50 a gal.


Does anybody have enough info to figure out how much these fuel price increases will add to product prices?

At $4.00 a gal and 4 miles to the gal, 3,000 miles would equal $3,000.00. If there were ten cars on a car trailer it would cost an extra $300.00. If there were 3,000 item's in the trailer that would be an extra $1.00 per item. If there were 30,000 item's that would be an extra $.10 per item. This may be not so bad. But what I think will happen is that the wise guys selling the stuff will take advantage of the situtation and raise prices twice as much and blame the rise in prices on gas.

 

Well I can see by this post that our educational system surely is not to blame for the ills that are ailing America.

This is a truckers website isn't it. I didn't know the only one's who could write here were english majors like yourself. Purhapes u could sign up as website teacher or monitor. I'm sure that the trucker's here on this website would love to get your help.

If u were so smart wise guy u would not have come at me with such a petty comeplaint. U would give "fair hearing". Many times people post and their english, writing, spelling, or sentence structure many be off. It may be even down write bad. I read what they write and extract the meaning. I don't get nasty, rude, or insulting in order to deminish there point.

Are truckers supposed to be illiterate? Most on here are quite capable of at least making sense.
